Motorola’s announced that they’re bringing the Quench MB501 (Cliq XT) and the Quench XT3 – a new device – for Taiwan. The Cliq (MB501) is business as usual, but the XT3 will have a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, Android 1.6, a 600MHz processor by Qualcomm, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Interestingly enough, it’s not running MOTOBLUR or stock Android – the user interface is different from anything we’ve seen on Motorola’s handsets (but not unlike the interface found on Commtiva’s Cincinnati Bell Blaze).
Both phones are set to launch early next month with Far EasTone Telecommunications – one of the biggest carriers in Taiwan. No pricing details have been revealed at this time.

@Nate it runs fine on G1s, so I am sure this thing could handle it.
seems like someone is gonna get the boot for sticking with 1.6 instead of at least 2.0.1
@ Leafar
I would assume because it wouldn’t run correctly. 2.2 takes some good specs to run well.
Android 1.6? What is wrong with those guys? Why not 2.2?
