Over at the SprintUsers forum, looks like member r0fl got their hands on the HTC Evo Shift 4G. We’ve seen all kinds of things on the Shift, and now we’ve got a good picture on it. While some blogs are reposting that there doesn’t seem to be a front facing camera, we’re seeing something here. If you look just below (to the left) of the ear speaker, you’ll see something that could be either a camera, or possible a proximity or light sensor. However, like the Evo, the sensor may be hidden, leaving this to only be the front facing camera.
This looks like the Sprint version of the G2 / Merge / Desire Z, so hopefully we’ll find out more as the days go on. Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!

We’ve seen it in pics, we’ve seen it in video and now it’s time for another round of up close and personal pics with the BlackBerry Bold 9800. Love it or hate it, this is a device that many folks are now starting to love more and more as newer pics and videos show up on the scene. While I’m still not overly fond of the device myself, that on screen keyboard (if it works as I’m thinking it does) should be quite functional. One more pic of the back of the device is after the jump, showing the slider in the up position so you can just see the camera palcement. You can view the whole lot of pictures over at TheBerryFix by hitting the source link.

The Sprint HTC EVO 4G has a few features that no other mainstream Android Phones have: 4G connectivity, a front facing camera for video chat, and HDMI Video Out. Unfortunately, current versions of Android don’t support these features in terms of developer tools/information. Until they do, Sprint has bridged the gap by offering an EVO 4G Developer Guide (PDF LINK) on their Android Developer Site that helps Android Developers tap into these hot new features.
A small snippet/example:

We’re sure the Android Team is working hard to incorporate support for these features – Sprint merely wants to make sure developers have access PRIOR to launch so that some EVO-ready apps are waiting to take advantage of the phone’s unique features.
Get crackin’ devs!
