The MX Moto Android App by Camel Games is a motor cross game for the Android platform that is based on physics. The object of the game is to get to the finish line of each of the 12 tracks. You can perform flips by tilting your Android device to the left for a backflip and to the right for a front flip. You will need to put your Android device back to level in order to stop the flip and land properly.
To accelerate press and hold on the left hand side of the screen and release when you want to slow down. To brake press and hold on the right hand side of the screen and then release when you have slowed down as much as you need to or when you are completely stopped. The controls and track are designed so that you actually need to use the controls strategically in order to avoid a crash and land jumps and tricks properly. There could be a few more tricks to add to the flips. The graphics are well done and of quality.
Overall, this is a challenging game with responsive controls. At the time of this review the MX Moto Android App $1.99.

Motorola knows it is, and they want to give you one. A contest started yesterday and entry simply requires a contestant to retweet a tweet that Motorola blasted out yesterday morning.
Some information to marinate on:
Good luck to everyone who participates!

Moto Mania is a ragdoll physics-based dirtbike game for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and it follows in the footsteps of some of the classic side-scrolling dirtbike stunt games of the past, like Excite Bike for the original Nintendo Entertainment System. Moto Mania has an advantage over the older games, however: thanks to the built-in accelerometer of these iDevices, it’s possible to control the tilt of the bike by simply tilting the device to the left or right. This makes game play incredibly intuitive.
Intuitiveness of play aside, Moto Mania is certainly a challenge. The object of the game is to navigate your bike over ramps and obstacles to complete the course in the shortest amount of the time possible. It really does feel like it is “your” bike because, at the start of play, you can customize the cycle by picking out the color of the bike’s finish and the style of the wheels. It’s a simple gimmick, to be sure, but it does help along the illusion that the bike is yours, and may get you feeling a bit more invested in getting it safely from one side of the course to the other. Allow me to predict your thought patterns. When you read “SE X10 & Moto Milestone getting ROM update” you thought “YES! Finally!” but then you kept reading and saw the “But it’s not Froyo” part and then thought “Aw crap.” I’m guessing I’m right
Well anyway, O2 Germany announced via their twitter feed that it has approved two new ROM updates for both the Sony Ericsson X10 as well as the Motorola Milestone (aka Droid). As far as the update for the Milestone goes, it appears to just be a bunch of bug fixes, so nothing to exciting there. In regards to the X10, O2 hasn’t given any specific details other than it will be a maintenance release and not the awaited Android 2.1 upgrade.
O2 Germany has also said that the updates will be pushed out sometime over the next 14 days. There has been no word from Motorola or Sony on if these updates will be coming to any other carriers or countries, so don’t get your hopes up.

A few hours ago we told you about 2.1 be provided OTA for Milestone owners and the comments were clamoring “with who/what/when/where?” and “are you sure about 9 home screens”? Now we’ve got a more definite timeline thanks to a Motorola Europe Facebook post:

So there you have it:
- Who – Moto (Milestone) owners
- What – Android 2.1
- When – Starting today through mid-April
- Where – France today, then Germany/Italy/UK/Beyond
- Why – there are definitely such things as stupid questions
And you heard it directly from them… live wallpapers, 9 homescreens, and additional exchange security. We’re not writing it in stone just yet as recent history has been cruel, but we’re watching this one closely.

Ask us when the Motorola Droid is getting its long overdue (but not yet late) Android 2.1 update, and we’ll tell you unequivocally, “Don’t know. Soon.” Officially, Motorola says it’s “expected to roll out soon.”
On Motorola’s official forums, it’s much of the same. Though forum manager Matt did just drop a cryptic line. “Spring,” he says. “I can’t wait for spring.” The vernal equinox is just one week away. Does that mean the Android 2.1 update for the Droid is coming with it? Does it just mean it’s time to plant the crops? Discuss. Thanks, beastcmg!
