Dead pixels, framerate caps, detaching front glass, and now unresponsive touchscreens? Oh, boy… this isn’t sounding good.
There have been scattered reports that, when ungrounded (not having your hand on the back or sides of the device), the HTC Evo has a tendency to be unresponsive to touch until about halfway down the screen. There’s also a video to help back up these claims, showing the response to touch in a drawing app, both when grounded and ungrounded. Just check out the video:
I don’t like saying negative things about such a great device. I personally hope that these issues are few and far between, and not as common as they seem to be becoming.
HTC has yet to say anything about the alleged problem.
